A key source of aircraft, engine and airline data is the Aerospace Source Book, which is published annually as an issue of Aviation Week and Space Technology. The most recent edition is from January 2006.

• For literature searches: NASA's Technical Report Server or The NACA Technical Report Server
• For AIAA material (from a VT address) AIAA Papers and Journal Articles
• A Bibliography of Information useful in airplane design has also been assembled.
• A Source for Weapons Systems Information is available from the Federation of American Scientists (FAS).
• Also look at Sources of Aeronautical Information as collected on Ralph Carmichael's PDAS page.
